Corporon line for Daughters of the Republic of Texas

I have been researching the Jenkins line for the last few days and have come to Daniel Milton Larrison. (Chester Miles Corporon > Carrie Lee Jenkins > Freeland Lawrence Jenkins > Sarah Emmaus Larrison > Joel Greenwood Larrison > Daniel Milton Larrison)

He came to Texas around 1820, first settling in the Red River area and eventually settling in what is now the Madisonville area. He received a Spanish Land Grant on his land dated 1835; at that time it was located in Montgomery County, and is in the earliest records of that county. His land is where Highway 21 crosses Larrison Creek, which was named after him. There are a few good stories on Daniel and his family that I will be putting them up as soon as I get them all together. Early Texas settler, frontiers man, Indian capture and 3 year ordeal before escaping, Davy Crockett… I am taking them with a grain of salt but researching all that I can.

In researching him and these stories I have come across others who are part of his line too and they are members of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. So if any my Corporon family members are interested in joining, let me know and I will help however I can.
