“The Corporon Family Tree” Book

Posted on June 2, 2020June 2, 2020 by Bethany

George William Corporon worked many years compiling information on the Corporon family.  In 1943 he published the first version of “The Corporon Family Tree” book and then the 2nd update version in 1954.

Per a letter written in 1954, to all the Corporon family, J Ray Martin writes:

“We indeed owe a great debt of gratitude to George William Corporon of Arcadia, Kansas. He spent years and considerable expense gathering this genealogy and history of our people. I have never met our cousin, but I have reports that he is a humble man who is an ordained minister and to date has preached 1,370 funerals. He is a reliable attorney-at-law who has stopped more lawsuits than he has filed.  Incidentally, Mrs. Corporon, his wife, was selected “Kansas Mother of 1951”.

George is the 3x great grandson to Eustache Corporon. (George > Lewis > George > Abraham > Joseph > Eustache)

There is a larger, updated collection compiled in 1997 by Edith (Corporon) Pearson, with help from her husband Lewis Pearson. My aunt has a copy so I was able to get a good look at it. I’m looking into getting a copy for myself.
